How do you attract clients?
I know it’s a hard question to answer considering most of the time, your clients come to you when wanting a branding service. So you’re not necessarily chasing them, but you should be putting out content when trying to attract them. However, there is a right & wrong way to engage with your target audience–the people you want to potentially work with. Yes, you NEED to know who they are, their likes/dislikes, what they enjoy seeing on social media, etc. So how can you attract them?
1. Post things that would interest them
If your target market are women owned businesses, then post things those individuals would like (*hint hint* research their likes & interests). Posting things that they don’t care about can really turn off a potential client, or confuse them in what you actually can provide for them.
2. Show your skills
Like I have mentioned before, show them what you’re made of! Make sure to show off a range of projects on your Instagram—web design, packaging, branding, etc. Most people like to see your previous work or portfolio, so make it easy & post them all over your socials so they cannot miss it!
3. Send emails with value
You might think that newsletters are a thing of the past—but they can be a huge asset to your business. What would you do tomorrow if you lost your Instagram account? In order to build a subscriber list, offer valuable business-related info that your clients would want to read about! It helps if you offer some great freebies as well!
4. Show your expertise
You should ALWAYS show your work and finished projects on socials, but you should also dedicate a section on your website to these projects as well. This gives you an opportunity to go in-depth with each project, and looks super professional (which you are). Give them what they want to see!
